Opening of Proxipark P2: 3,200 additional parking spaces on the terminal doorstep

A new multi-storey car park (P2) has been open since 30 May to complement Proxipark services. Built opposite to Hall D, this new 3,200-space parking area is only at a few minutes away from the hall.

Users are guided by a lighting system and specially adapted signs for easy locating, avoiding stress and wasting time. Pedestrians can easily find their way by following the raised signs and an orange walkway on the ground indicating the exits.Outside, next to Hall D, screens will be installed showing flight information and check-in waiting times.

Built in line with P1 with a metal framework, this car park is in complete harmony with the existing car park from an architectural standpoint. Beyond its appearance, particular attention has been paid to the environmental aspect of this building: low-energy light bulbs, graduated lighting system, rainwater collector, natural ventilation, etc.

A new retail area for Hall C

With the opening of Hall D, Toulouse-Blagnac Airport has renovated Hall C to bring it in line with the new hall.

Shops & Services

In the boarding area, the existing space in Hall C has been redesigned and now offers more up-to-date fittings, shops and amenities like those provided in Hall D. Since April 2011, this new 650 m2 area has complemented and broadened the products and services currently on offer in Hall D. The Spirit of Toulouse store and the Relay newsagent/Stade Toulousain area have been moved to this part of Hall C where luggage, leather goods, clothing, electronics and gifts can also be found. There is a full range of services too: automated cash points, telephones, Internet terminals, etc. Fast-food outlets will also complement the restaurant offer in Hall D.

"La croix du Sud" Lounge gets a makeover

The renovation of Hall C also concerns the VIP lounge "La Croix du Sud", which will be moved from the hall mezzanine to the future retail area. It will settle into a more spacious home (208 m² compared to the current 120 m²), starting in early 2012.

Car parks: a new payment and access control system

In mid-April 2011, the airport implemented a new payment system to have sophisticated and scalable equipment that can adapt to future technological advances in contactless payment. As well as returning to traditional (bank-card size) tickets swallowed by automatic payment machines, the bank card payment system in the exit terminals will be more efficient and faster. In the longer term, it will be possible to carry out contactless payments very simply through NFC chips which will soon be fitted in bank cards and mobile phones.

New sales desks for Hall C

New sales desks have opened in Hall C. British Airways and Lufthansa are there, as well as Avia Partner and Map Handling agencies.
