2018 REVIEW

TAKE-OFF FOR THE AIRPORT

2018 marked the end of the major works that began two years earlier. Toulouse-Blagnac Airport was transformed over a 24-month period, adapting it for international traffic. There have been big changes, both in terms of the services offered and the type of passengers.

Because 2018 marked another turning point: for the first time in its history, the airport welcomed more passengers on international flights than on domestic flights.

This trend is expected to intensify in the coming years, bolstered by these new adaptations that increase the appeal of the Toulouse platform in the European skies. This structural change was essential, given the intense competition between platforms to attract airlines and their networks of routes. Passengers are also changing, becoming more demanding regarding the services that a platform offers them. Our airport is now a vibrant space. We work hard to make passengers feel comfortable here.

We are proud to make this time surrounding their journey special. With its new offer, the airport is now aligned with the highest European standards. This makes it a major asset for Toulouse and the Occitanie region, promoting economic development and tourism.

A total of 9,630,308 passengers travelled through the airport in 2018, 3.9% more than the previous year. At the same time, our platform has registered a decrease of 2,000 aircraft movements. A reduction which illustrates ATB’s desire to promote a sustainable growth in air traffic in Toulouse.

We would like to see even more passengers in 2019, but above all, we hope our passengers will be delighted to spend time in an airport that was designed for them.
