Security

Go through security with zero stress!

Security control

The security of all travellers is an essential part of air travel. Security clearance lets us check that passengers are not bringing any dangerous or prohibited items into the cabin, which could pose a risk to the security of passengers on board the flight.

You must go through security in order to access the boarding area and board the plane. Follow our advice to save time and enjoy a stress-free journey.

Go through security with zero stress

  • The security checkpoint is located on the first floor of Hall D.
  • We remind passengers that they need to be at the boarding gate at least 30 minutes before take-off.

Step by step

STEP 1 - Show your boarding pass
STEP 2 - Place your personal belongings in the tray
STEP 3 - Walk under the metal detector and keep calm

How can I retrieve any items that were rejected at security?

If you tried to go through security carrying an item that is not permitted in the aircraft cabin, even if the item in question was packed in your hand luggage, it will be taken by security staff. In such cases, you have several options:

  • Entrust the item to someone you know who is not travelling and is still in the airport, in the pre-security area.
  • Place the item in the airport storage facilities, and collect it from the information desk when you return from your trip. The security officer will ask you to fill in a document before sending your item to the storage collection point (more information).
  • Go back to the check-in area and check the bag containing the unauthorised item (provided it is permitted in the hold).
  • Leave the item and have it destroyed by staff on site.
