Occitanie, land of festivals

In Toulouse and its surrounding region, we like to party. The area hosts more than 500 festivals to suit all music tastes and styles throughout the year, particularly in the summer,

We love to dance, share our passion for music and feel the beat. Festival-goers can enjoy the famous Jazz festival in Marciac, Rio Loco in Toulouse, and the Festival de Carcassonne and its cultural programme.

The festivals take place in the heart of the region’s cities, villages and medieval towns.

Whether you like jazz, classical music or other styles of music, there is something for everyone in Toulouse.

Rio Loco is an unmissable event on the summer festival scene in this city. Every year, it draws in the crowds, attracts unique multidisciplinary projects and welcomes the biggest names of the international music scene playing to over 100,000 people. This year, in its 25th year, the festival is putting women in the spotlight.

Toulouse is also known for its classical music festivals and French popular music festivals.

The jazz festival in Marciac has put Occitanie on the map. In the line-up for this year’s festival in the Gers are Sting, Gregory Porter and George Benson, to name just a few. Dance to the rhythm of brass bands and percussion at the international Festival de Bandas in the town of Condom or

lose yourself to the Latin beat at Tempo Latino in Vic-Fezensac. Don your cowboy boots and Stetson for the extremely popular country music festival in Mirande.
