The Andorran Pyrenees are getting ready to host the 2019 FIS Alpine Ski World Cup from 11 to 17 March. This 8-day event brings together world-class professional skiers and offers a great opportunity to promote the Pyrenean ski resorts served by Toulouse airport.
Situated just 1.5 hours away from the first slopes, Toulouse airport is a prized gateway for European skiers. 42 ski resorts, including 27 devoted to alpine skiing and 15 Nordic skiing trails, cater to a range of tastes and are adapted to all levels and types of practice. The Pyrenees Mountains are not as tall as their counterparts in the Alps, but they are better preserved and home to a broad range of wild flora and fauna. In addition, they constitute a uniquely relaxing setting, with several resorts offering a tempting combination of winter sporting activities and relaxation, via numerous famous thermal spas. Shuttles are available on request, taking skiers straight from the airport to Andorra and several resorts in the French Pyrenees throughout the winter months.
