Toulouse-Blagnac airport is building its future in 2017 through major expansion and reconfiguration projects that began in late March. In 2018, passengers will be able to enjoy the services of an international airport that is expanding its European traffic and its long-haul destinations and that will accommodate up to 12 million passengers.
The modernisation of the terminal will be accompanied by a more attractive commercial offer. After one central security checkpoint area, a large shopping and dining area will be created with new retailers near Halls D and C. The departure lounge in Hall B will also be completely redesigned to facilitate the flow of passengers. By building a walk-on/walk-off jetty near Hall A dedicated
to low-cost and regional airlines, the airport will provide infrastructure specially designed in line with their economic and operational model. This will offer more capacity to traditional airlines that use airbridges for their boarding operations. This ambitious programme will be supported by the construction of a 4-star hotel directly connected to Hall A, a project which also illustrates ATB's real estate diversification policy.
