Well-prepared luggage for easier inspection

To ensure efficient, straightforward security checks, the airport advises you to anticipate your arrival by preparing your baggage and keeping your cabin luggage to a strict minimum.

You are currently allowed to carry one item of cabin luggage per person and it must not exceed 115 cm (length + width + height) for a maximum weight of 5 kg.

New regulations will soon be implemented Europe-wide. They should be applicable from may 2008 and will impose new cabin luggage requirements (56 x 45 x 25 cm). You will be informed of these changes as soon as they come into force.
You can however already learn to travel light by putting all liquids, gels, creams, pastes and aerosols – whether food and drink or cosmetics – in your hold baggage.

Restrictions on carrying liquids, gels or similar products in your cabin luggage

For essential liquids and gels required during the flight, you should bring

a transparent, resealable plastic bag

(roughly 20 x 20 cm with a maximum capacity of 1 litre). You may use this to transport liquid, gel, cream and paste containers, each with a capacity of

less than 100 ml (10 cl).

Only one bag will be allowed per passenger.

All opaque containers (metal tins, tinted glass, etc.) that cast doubt on the nature of the contents are subject to the same cabin luggage restrictions as liquids and gels.

Exceptions : Food for babies and young children, which is required during the flight, is authorised regardless of volume (bottles, jars, etc.). The same applies to liquid medication (e.g.: syrup) and creams for children.
