The number, weight and dimensions of hand luggage items permitted in the cabin depend on the conditions imposed by airlines. Some items or objects are also subject to restrictions or are strictly prohibited in the cabin. Please consult our web page for more information.

Permitted size depending on your airline
The number, weight and size of hand luggage items allowed in the cabin vary according to which airline you travel with.
Aegean
Aegean generally authorises 1 item of hand luggage:
- Economy Class: Your item of hand luggage can measure up to 56 x 45 x 25 cm (HxWxD), including pockets, wheels and handles. Your hand luggage items can weigh up to 8 kg in total.
- Business Class: You can take 1 item of hand luggage and 1 accessory with you (a laptop bag for a non-bulky device or a handbag that can fit under the seat in front of you), all of which can weigh up to 13 kg maximum.
Aer Lingus
Aer Lingus generally authorises 1 item of hand luggage and 1 accessory :
- Your item of hand luggage can measure up to 55 x 40 x 24 cm (HxWxD), including pockets, wheels and handles.
- Your hand luggage items can weigh up to 10 kg in total.
- Your accessory (small handbag, laptop bag, duty free bag or changing bag) can measure up to 25 x 33 x 20 cm maximum (HxWxD).
Air Algérie
Air Algérie authorises 1 item of hand luggage :
- Your item of hand luggage can measure up to 55 x 35 x 25 cm (HxWxD), including pockets, wheels and handles.
- Your hand luggage items can weigh up to 10 kg in total.
- If you are travelling with a laptop, handbag or camera, make sure that these items fit into the single authorised hand luggage bag.
Air Arabia
Air Arabia authorises 1 item of hand luggage :
- Your item of hand luggage can measure up to 55 x 40 x 20 cm (HxWxD), including pockets, wheels and handles.
- Your hand luggage items can weigh up to 10 kg in total.
Air Canada
Air Canada authorises 1 item of hand luggage and 1 accessory :
- Your hand luggage item can measure up to 55 x 40 x 23 cm (HxWxD), including pockets, wheels and handles.
- Your item of hand luggage must be light enough for the passenger to store it without assistance in the overhead baggage compartment.
- Your accessory (small handbag, laptop bag, duty free bag or changing bag, for example) can measure up to 43 x 33 x 16 cm (HxWxD).
Air Corsica
Air Corsica authorises 1 item of hand luggage :
- Your hand luggage item can measure up to 55 x 40 x 20 cm (HxWxD), including pockets, wheels and handles.
- Your items of hand luggage can weigh up to 8 kg in total on ATR 72 aircraft and 12 kg on Airbus A320 aircraft.
Air France
Air France generally allows 1 item of hand luggage + 1 accessory
- Your hand luggage item can measure up to 55 x 35 x 25 cm (HxWxD), including pockets, wheels and handles.
- In the Economy Class cabin, your item of hand luggage and accessory can weigh up to 12 kg in total.
- If you are travelling in the Premium Economy, Business or La Première cabin, your hand luggage item and accessory can weigh up to 18 kg in total. Your cabin is indicated on your ticket.
- In addition to your hand luggage, you can take 1 personal accessory, the maximum size of which is 40 x 30 x 15 cm. You can take either: 1 handbag or 1 satchel or 1 bag for a laptop, camera or other electronic device.
- Your accessory must fit under the seat in front of you, unless you are seated by an emergency exit. In this case, the accessory must be stored in the overhead locker.
Air Transat
Air Transat authorises 1 item of hand luggage and 1 accessory :
- Your hand luggage item can measure up to 51 x 40 x 23 cm (HxWxD), including pockets, wheels and handles.
- Your item of hand luggage must be light enough for the passenger to store it without assistance in the overhead baggage compartment.
- Your accessory (small handbag, laptop bag, duty free bag or changing bag, for example) can measure up to 43 x 33 x 16 cm (HxWxD).
APG Airlines
APG Airlines generally authorises 1 item of hand luggage and 1 accessory :
- Your hand luggage item can measure up to 55 x 35 x 25 cm (HxWxD), including pockets, wheels and handles.
- A carry-on accessory.
- All your hand luggage should not exceed 6 kg in total.
British Airways
British Airways authorises 1 item of hand luggage and 1 accessory :
- Your hand luggage item can measure up to 56 x 45 x 25 cm (HxWxD), including pockets, wheels and handles.
- Your item of hand luggage should not exceed 7 kg.
- Your cabin accessory can measure up to 46 x 36 x 20 cm (HxWxD).

Brussels Airlines
Brussels Airlines generally authorises 1 item of hand luggage and 1 accessory :
Economy Class
- Your hand luggage item can measure up to 55 x 40 x 23 cm (HxWxD), including pockets, wheels and handles.
- Your hand luggage items can weigh up to 8 kg in total.
- Your accessory can measure up to 40 x 30 x 10 cm (HxWxD).
Business Class
- You can take 2 items of hand luggage and 1 accessory with you (laptop bag for a non-bulky device or a handbag that can fit under the seat in front of you).

easyJet
easyJet authorises 1 item of hand luggage :
- Your hand luggage item can measure up to 45 x 36 x 20cm (HxWxD), including pockets, wheels and handles.
- If you have booked a seat "Up front" or "Extra legroom" you will be authorised to bring also a bigger hand luggage
- There is no weight limit, but you must be able to store it in the compartment above your head.
Iberia
Iberia generally authorises 1 item of hand luggage and 1 accessory :
- Your hand luggage item can measure up to 56 x 40 x 25 cm (HxWxD), including pockets, wheels and handles.
- Your hand luggage items can weigh up to 10 kg (Tourist Class) and 14 kg (Business Class) in total.
- Your accessory (small handbag, laptop bag, duty free bag or changing bag, for example) can measure up to 40 x 30 x 15 cm (HxWxD).
KLM
The conditions for hand luggage items with KLM are as follows :
Economy Class :
- 1 item of hand luggage with max. dimensions of 55 x 35 x 25 cm (21.5 x 13.5 x 10 in)
- 1 accessory, e.g. a handbag, briefcase or laptop, with max. dimensions of 40 x 30 x 15 cm (16 x 12 x 6 in)
- Maximum total weight 12 kg (26 lbs)
Business Class :
- 2 items of hand luggage, each with max. dimensions of 55 x 35 x 25 cm (21.5 x 13.5 x 10 in)
- 1 accessory, e.g. a handbag, briefcase or laptop, with max. dimensions of 40 x 30 x 15 cm (16 x 12 x 6 in)
- Max. total weight 18 kg (40 lbs)
Lufthansa
When you travel with Lufthansa in Eco or Premium Eco Class, you are entitled to an item of hand luggage weighing up to 8kg, for example, a suitcase with wheels, a folding pushchair or a folding garment bag.
In Business Class or First Class, you are entitled to two items of hand luggage weighing 8kg each.

Nouvelair
In addition to your checked-in baggage allowance, you are allowed to have a hand luggage item. You can take items of hand luggage with you in the cabin, as long as they do not compromise safety and they meet the following criteria :
- 1 item of hand luggage measuring up to 55 cm x 35 cm x 25 cm, with a maximum weight of 10 kg.
Royal Air Maroc
With Royal Air Maroc, you are allowed a single item of hand luggage weighing up to 10 kg, with maximum dimensions of 115 cm.

Ryanair
All passengers have the right to bring on board a small personal bag which must fit under the seat in front of them (40 cm x 20 cm x 25 cm, 10 kg max). Examples include a handbag, laptop bag and small backpack.
TAP Air Portugal
When travelling with TAP Air Portugal (flights operated by TAP or TAP Express), you are allowed to bring an item of hand luggage into the cabin, provided that its dimensions do not exceed 55 X 40 x 20 cm and 8 kg.
Transavia
Transavia generally authorises 1 item of hand luggage in the cabin and 1 accessory.
The cabin space being limited, only the first 70 items of hand luggage measuring no more than 55 x 40 x 25 cm are guaranteed in the cabin - other items of hand luggage will be placed in the hold free of charge. What are the dimensions of hand luggage ?
- 10 kg max 45 x 40 x 25 cm max (guaranteed on board)
- 55 x 40 x 25 cm max (not guaranteed on board)
Transavia sometimes puts your baggage in the hold. When boarding, only the first 70 items of hand luggage measuring no more than 55 x 40 x 25 cm are guaranteed in the cabin. The dimensions of the items of hand luggage include handles and wheels. In addition to your item of hand luggage, you can take an umbrella or walking stick with you.
Transavia MAX passengers are allowed 1 item of hand luggage measuring no more than 55 x 40 x 25 cm and 10 kg (e.g. a small suitcase with wheels) and 1 accessory (e.g. a handbag or laptop bag).
Tunisair
The maximum dimensions for items of hand luggage are 55 cm / 40 cm / 25 cm, and the maximum weight is 10 kg for Business Class passengers and 8 kg for Economy Class passengers.
Turkish Airlines
With Turkish Airlines, your items of hand luggage must not exceed the following dimensions :
- 55 x 40 x 23 cm, with a maximum weight of 8 kg.
- If you are travelling in Comfort or Economy Class, you can only bring one hand luggage item on board.
- If you are travelling in Business Class, you are allowed two items of hand luggage.

Twin Jet
Twin Jet allows one item of hand luggage per passenger, the total size of which must not exceed 115 cm and the weight 10 kg. Passengers are responsible for their hand luggage items for the duration of the journey.
Volotea
From 8 June 2022 :
Without priority boarding you can only take on board a small bag which will be placed under the seat in front of you measuring 40 x 30 x 20 cm.
With priority boarding you can take your hand baggage in the cabin with dimensions: 55 x 40 x 20 cm
Checking in hand baggage at the airport involves an additional cost of up to €50 per bag and per journey.
You can take the following items in the cabin:
- medication required for your journey;
- baby food required for your journey;
- products placed in a sealed bag provided by an airport (for example, duty-free products purchased at the airport or on the plane, regardless of the origin and purchase date, with the receipt clearly visible inside the bag).
All liquids, creams, gels and aerosols must:
- be carried in 100 ml (10 cl) or 100 g containers (maximum);
- be carried in a single, clear, closed plastic bag measuring 20 cm x 20 cm, with a maximum capacity of 1 litre. Only one container is permitted per passenger, and it must be closed when you go through security.
Exceptions: the following items are permitted regardless of the capacity of their container:
- baby food or meals for very young children (bottles, small jars, etc.), in the quantity required for the journey;
- medication in liquid form (e.g. cough medicine) and creams, in the quantity required for the journey.
Warning: All liquids must be presented separately from your hand luggage items when you go through security.
Some items are strictly prohibited in the cabin. Here is a non-exhaustive list of those items:
- Fire arms and other devices that fire projectiles
- Stunning devices
- Items with a sharp tip or sharp edges
- Work tools
- Blunt instruments
- Explosive and flammable substances and devices
Baggage services
